Me, Myself and Mobile v1.5

This entry is supposed to be the sequence to my longest entry ever (at least that's what she said).

It was more like a short story to me. The short story of my rather short life.

Please. Do read it here.

But I won't be doing a full sequence yet. Hence v1.5

Excerpt:

Nokia 3210 ---> Siemens c45 ---> Nokia 3310 ---> Nokia 2100 ---> Nokia 8250 ---> Nokia 3100 ---> (back to..) Nokia 3310 ---> ???

That was from November 2001 until January 2005 (roughly).

February 2005 to January 2006
Sony Ericsson T630i

The second in line for dual face design made popular by SE. A true successor to the ever popular T610. It was a real deal to the mobile world when it was released about a year before. The main reason why I fall in love with Sony Ericsson. Ever heard people saying "Once an SE fan, always a fan"?

February 2006 to July 2006
Nokia N-Gage QD

Successor to the revolution of mobile gaming, N-Gage. Not that I am a hard core gamer, never was but it was the only phone that caught my attention when i decided to trade-in my T630 after my brother's cat has done something terribly wrong to it. But I did spent a few good hours a week playing games. The inbuilt MP3 player with loudspeaker was pretty handy too.

August 2006 to present
Sony Ericsson K750i

Just when I decided that I have had enough of games and really need to focus on my study (ehem!), a real deal came for a phone that I have longed for. This is a truly remarkable phone. A phone that holds and feels like a camera. Auto focus lens. Dual LED flashlights that double up as your torch (they are bright, trust me). This phone was a trend setter, just like other previous SE phones (sorry if I sound a bit bias here, hehe).

June 2007 to present
Nokia 1101

Bought it for about NZ$35 to use it as a second phone. Does great on what a mobile phone should do, calling and texting. Truly basic, nothing fancy here. But wait, it has a torchlight too. Although it took me quite a while to figure out the shortcut button to it.

Future to distant future
Sony Ericsson P1i

It has not been commercially released yet but its rave reviews are everywhere. PDA, phone, camera, 3G, wifi. Almost all features you could ever dreamed of is in the package. I am being hopeful here.

P.S: this is my 10th entry for the year and this blog has reached the age of 39 months as of today. Can't wait to reach 40. Life starts at 40 right?

Christchurch, Babies and Postgraduates

Welcome to the new world, Syed Arif

Syed Arif
More cute pictures @ Sol's FP.

As far as I can remember there were quite a number of babies born in our Malay Community here in Christchurch.

First there's Abang Reza back in midst of winter 2004.

Then Abang Leman and Kak Farah with baby Khalif in the following summer.

Then there's Abang Afendi and Kak Zunika's little daughter.

Then Abang Rashidi (Lincoln). And then Umar, completing 3 heroes of Kak Dayang and Abang Hamdan.

Abang Khairuddin and Kak Ita not to be forgotten. I think they have a couple of babies here. If not mistaken.

Then there's Abang Zahari and Kak Azidah's baby boy. 3 heroes as well. Relatively recent.

These postgraduates families are really akin to your family here in Christchurch. For me, at least.

Abang Reza helped us a lot when we started flatting out, moving to the old-cozy Picton Ave mansion house. We got quite a few free stuff from him. Still remember him saying "aa, amik aa kerusi ni sedap lagi ni, empuk lagi" while trying to make himself comfy on the chair.

Abang Leman too. He practically gave everything before he left. Sofa set, drier, beds. But Kak Nik was the one who got his "BMW". Hehe.

Abang Fendi always kind enough to lend his red Chariot when needed.

Abang Rashidi with all the smiles and laughs.

Abang Hamdan and Kak Dayang. They helped me a lot. Personal advices. Wisdom and knowledge. Kak Dayang is a great cook. There's always a treat when we made a visit.

Abang Khairuddin. We had our first kenduri at her place. Really felt like home back then.

Abang Zahari and Kak Azidah. Always a great help. Abang Zahari with his favorite word "Haa, Ni.. kalau korang nak..." then followed with his spirited words of advice. And Kak Azidah with her Nasi Dagang during Aidilfitri.

Then there's Kak Ainy. We met her at the airport when we first arrived. She showed us the way around. How to take a bus, City tour, Countdown shopping.

Kak Nik. Berjiwa muda. Can be scary at times too. Always give good advice.

Abang Jali and Kak Ain. He recommended me for a job at the now closed Flambe. I worked for more than 2 years.

And not to forget Abang Suhaimi. He helped us a lot. Especially when it comes to car.

And for Kakok who delivered babies all days and nights here in Christchurch.

Abang Nazri, Uncle Ishak, Auntie Kiah, Kak G, Abang Rashid. We are all a family. Albeit a very big one.

Please do accept my deepest gratitude for everything that you have done and my sincerest apologies for everything that I have done.

Thank you all.

Full House

2 kesimpulan:

1. Mereka suka gosok gigi - bila2 masa yang 'free' - it's part of their life.

Koleksi Pantun 'Tako'sional

Pisang emas dibawa belayar,
Masak sebiji di atas peti;
Kueh tako takleh dibawa belayar,
Terpaksalah ia dibuat sendiri.

Pulau pandan jauh ke tengah,
Gunung Daik bercabang tiga;
Mengidam tako dah lama dah,
Baru hari ini dapat merasa.

Dua tiga kucing berlari,
Mana nak same si kucing belang;
Pizza, lasagna boleh dicari,
Mana nak same si tako dalam balang.

cak pong..cak pong..

Selamat Berbuka.. Jangan ponteng puase tau..

Antara Jarang-jarang dan Kadang-kadang

Meninjau-ninjau blog sendiri tadi. Check ape yang patut.

Sampai kat part archieve. Perasan tak yang ianya dibahagi ikut bulan-bulan?

Started with April 2004. On the 27th to be exact. That was when I started my so called blog.

May 2004, June 2004 sampaila March 2005, tetiap bulan at least mesti ade sekali update. Sekali April 2005 hilang, June 2005 lesap. Entah mane hilang tah. Buat sikit 'hole' la kat part tuh.

Ok. Lets begin the investigation. =D

Kire punya kire...

After my longest entry (well, i'm not quite sure myself, but thats what Nore said) Me,Myself and Mobile, I only managed to post 6 new entries in which could be divided into the following categories...

2 entries - regarding why I have not update anything [Aii??? | UIH.... BERHABUKNYA!!! ]

One announcing a new template.

3 of the general ones; which in one entry I simply rearrange, paraphrase in a way that some of us might not notice that the particular entry involved some sort of plagiarism in it.

Pathetic isn't it? 6 entries in 4 months. Or should I say 6 short and senseless entries in one whole semester? That is like ONE entry for every TWENTY days.

Pretty bad huh?

.......

Bukannya takde cerita, malah ape yang berlaku 3,4 bulan ni tersangatlah berkesannya. Dalam kata lain, penting. Adelah beberape peristiwa-peristiwanya.

Tapi entahlah...

Mungin sebab ni rasenye...(refer intro bit)

This blog was initially created for the sake of killing the time. Entries written due to availability and current mood situation. Highly based on whatever being thought as appropriate to be called as an entry.

Not much time to kill?
Unavailable?
No mood?
Inappropriate to be called as an entry?

.......

A bunch of thanks to a couple of individuals who keep on urging me on updating. Thanks again.

.....

Teringat filem Nujum Pak Belalang. Antara kadang-kadang dan jarang-jarang. Mungkin case kali ini sikit teruk dari kadang-kadang, tapi mungkin sikit baik dari jarang-jarang. Kadang-jarang?

Hmmm...
